Called my insurance and was referred to them as they were an approved provider. Called the office and they were very short and asked for insurance. After telling them they asked where I lived. Upon telling them they said they do not take that insurance. All the while the receptionist was very rude and short. Also why does it matter where I live, either you take the insurance or you do not.

  • Just relocated from Connecticut and I have been searching for a foot and ankle surgeon in the area for months. I looked up Dr. Casey's bio and was quite impressed - Temple graduate, fellowship at Harvard, Director of Orthopedics at Camp Lejune Naval Hospital. Having had ankle problems since high school, I called to make an appointment and had no problem being scheduled. I went to my appointment and was very impressed with the office. Dr. Casey was fantastic! He explained my problem, treatment options, possible outcomes, etc., answered all my questions. I found him to be very friendly and took the time to explain everything in detail. Without hesitation, I scheduled to have surgery performed by him in the near future and am looking forward to being able to walk with no pain again.

I am ashamed to say I am a former employee of Upper Bucks Ortho. I can assure you, those of you that are patients, aren't the only ones suffering and being treated poorly by this facility. I worked here for over a year before I was forced to leave. Dr. Steven Casey was upset the day I was working with him and I made a very simple and common mistake. Dr. Casey decided to not only yell at me, cuss at me, but to also grab me by my arm and abuse me. I left work that day in tears and went straight to the police. The other person I was working with turned her head as to not get involved and they flat out lied to the police about what had occurred. Apparently because I did not have any injury from the incident nothing could be done. This is not the first, and I am sure it won't be the last, time that Dr. Steven Casey has laid his hands or talked down to those that work with him. He is an inconsiderate doctor and couldn't care less about his patients. (Remember, I worked here for a fairly long time, I've heard the things he's said about his patients). He should have his license revoked for the way he treats others in his office. And I hope that others effected by Dr. Casey will speak up and get him out of there. He is absolutely heartless and should be ashamed of himself for his actions. I did file a police report, but have beliefs that Dr. Casey bribed the police with some sort of money to get out of any charges as the police never contacted me, returned phone calls, or allowed me to see my police report for my lawyer. Months have passed since this incident and it has since been forgotten. My sister seriously injured herself the beginning of this month and I knew I could get her an appointment here ASAP. So I called and scheduled and appointment and said hello to everyone that I used to enjoy working with. We got her appointment, drove to get her reports and X-rays from bethlehem, only to show up for the appointment with Judy Francis and Michele from HR standing outside the building informing my sister that I would not be going in with her and that she would have to go without me. My sister is on crutches, unable to carry anything and needs me to be there since I am her transportation for any follow ups she may have needed. My sister did not feel comfortable going in somewhere she's never been and did not go in. Upper Bucks Orthopaedics needs to be more professional in their mannerisms. They were aware that I was making the appointment and that I was a former employee. Instead of making me drive there to refuse to care for my sister they should have expressed their concerns over the phone. Judy and Michele, you should be embarrassed by the way you acted in front of a patient that needed care.
